Terms and Conditions

It is important that you read and understand the following conditions before you leave.

Health Requirements

Clients are required to familiarise themselves with any health requirements specific to the countries being visited. It is highly recommended that clients visit their health care professional for this purpose. Passengers aged over 70 years of age are required to obtain a health certificate from their doctor and submit to us along with their booking form.

Cancellations & Amendments

The following fees will apply:-

  • Amendment to confirmed itinerary - $75.00 per person
  • Amendment within 30 days of departure - $100.00 per person
  • Reissue of airline tickets - $100.00 per person plus any fees incurred by the airline
  • Bookings of only 3 nights or less - $75.00 per person
  • Rail tickets & passes only - $50.00 per person

Once a booking is confirmed no name transfers are permitted. This will be considered as a cancellation.

All cancellations must be made in writing to Travelscene Maitland and will be subject to the following cancellation charges:-

  1. Prior to departure 100% of the deposit paid.
  2. Between 59-50 days prior to departure 30% of total booking.
  3. Between 49-40 days prior to departure 50% of total booking.
  4. 39-22 days or less prior to departure 75% of total booking.
  5. Within 21 days of departure 100% of total booking.

In the event of cancellation any refunds will be less an administration fee of $75.00 per person including transfer fees & amendment fees. Regrettably cancellation charges and fees cannot be waived. There can be no exceptions.
No refund will be made for any unused portions of the holiday after departure date. Please note that employees of any overseas company or staff of any tour operator overseas are not authorised to make any undertakings to clients in respect to refunds or any other matters.

Late Bookings

Bookings made less than 30 days prior to departure from Australia will incur a late booking fee of $100.00 per person plus any applicable urgent visa processing fees.

Cancellation by Travelscene Maitland

Travelscene Maitland reserves the right to cancel a tour prior to departure due to insufficient numbers or other unforseen circumstances. In such an event alternative guaranteed travel dates will be offered. Should these options not be acceptable, a refund will be given less any visa costs.

Travel Insurance

It is a condition of joining one of our tours that clients are adequately insured for the entire duration of their travel arrangements. Including cover for illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellation and curtailment. If you have chosen to insure with another company a copy of your policy is required.

Travel Documents

A passport with minimum of 6 months validity is required for passengers travelling to all countries in our program. Visa fees are an additional cost to all of our packages. Non Australian passports may incur additional fees. Responsibility for documentation accuracy, passport validity and dispatch of documents, rests with the client. Travelscene Maitland accepts no responsibility for any failure in this respect.

Tipping

Tipping is different in each country. Where possible we include tipping in our tour costs. If this is not possible, the approximate costs will be listed on documentation for your information.

Responsibility

Travelscene Maitland (herewith called the Company) acts as a co-ordinator for all persons taking these tours in the making of all arrangements for transportation, sightseeing and hotel accommodation. The company does not own, manage or control or operate any transportation vehicle, any hotel, restaurant or any other supplier of services. All coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier and all services are subject to the laws of the country where the services are provided.

The company acts only as an agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers of transportation and/or other related travel services provided and assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage to baggage or property or for any injury, illness or death or for any damages or claims however caused arising directly or indirectly from accidents, loss or damage to person or property,delays,transport failure,strikes,wars,terrorism and uprisings or acts of God etc over which the company has no control.
